PARAMOUNT+ AND CBS SPORTS NETWORK TO PROVIDE WALL TO WALL COVERAGE OF WEDNESDAY’S U.S. OPEN CUP FINAL
Full Evening Begins at 7 p.m. ET with Hour-long Edition of CBS Sports Golazo Matchnight Field-side from Q2 Stadium in Austin;
8 p.m. ET Kickoff Followed by Post-game Featuring Trophy Ceremony to Wrap 110th Edition of U.S. Soccer’s Club Championship
ATLANTA (September 30, 2025) – Either Austin FC or Nashville SC will capture their first Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup crown tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 1, and CBS Sports will be on hand to deliver every dramatic moment of the 2025 tournament Final across Paramount+ and CBS Sports Network.
CBS Sports’ pre-match coverage from Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday begins at 7 p.m. ET with an hour-long edition of CBS Sports Golazo Matchnight. Poppy Miller will host pre-match coverage alongside analysts Jimmy Conrad, Mike Grella and Charlie Davies. The Matchnight crew will welcome a parade of guests to their pitchside desk, including U.S. Soccer CEO/Secretary General JT Batson, U.S. Men’s National Team Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino, Nashville SC Head Coach B.J. Callaghan, and Austin FC/USMNT forward Brandon Vazquez.
From there, Chris Wittyngham and Tony Meola will handle commentary of the 8 p.m. ET kickoff, with Aly Trost Martin reporting from pitchside and Christina Unkel contributing as CBS Sports' rules analyst.
A post-match show will follow the final at 10 p.m. ET, also on Paramount+ and CBS Sports Network, featuring the U.S. Open Cup trophy ceremony and ample interviews with the victorious squad.

In addition to full matches and highlights, CBS Sports’ coverage will include studio programming on CBS Sports Golazo Network and the creation of ancillary content beyond games which will focus on markets and clubs in the competition, as well as the tournament’s rich history as the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in the United States.
U.S. Soccer continues to invest in the U.S. Open Cup which has resulted in a record $1 million purse for the 2025 tournament, more than doubling last year’s total, including $600,000 for this year’s champion. The increased investment reflects growing momentum around the U.S. Open Cup, with ongoing support from key U.S. Soccer partners - Marriott Bonvoy, Michelob Ultra, New York Life, and Nike.
