MATCH REPORT: BURNLEY 1 - 1 NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Points shared in Turf Moor clash
Burnley picked up another valuable point on Saturday afternoon, as the Clarets played out a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest in the heavy rain at Turf Moor.
Forest were quick out the blocks, as Neco Williams fired home the opener with just over a minute played, before the hosts responded through Jaidon Anthony's third goal of the Premier League season.
There were chances for both sides to go on and claim all three points, after Anthony came close to bagging a second goal on a couple of occasions in the second-half, before Martin Dúbravka was forced into action to keep out Igor Jesus and Willams late on, in what was an end-to-end encounter on a blustery afternoon in Lancashire.
Head Coach Scott Parker named just one change from last Sunday’s clash with Liverpool, as Florentino was handed his first start for the Clarets, coming in for the suspended Lesley Ugochukwu.

It took the visitors less than two minutes to break the deadlock, after forcing an early corner, the ball fell kindly just inside the area to Williams, who hammered home the opener.
The Clarets did look to respond after going a goal behind, as Quilindschy Hartman unleashed a fierce strike from 25-yards out, but Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels was equal to it.
Following a brief spell of possession from the visitors, the hosts looked to get back into the game, and the Clarets grabbed their equaliser with 20 minutes played.
Loum Tchaouna did well to rise highest and win his header, with the ball falling into the path of Anthony to slot home his third goal of the Premier League campaign, despite Oleksandr Zinchenko’s efforts at keeping it out of the net.

The game had really livened up, as eight minutes later Forest carved open an opportunity of their own to regain the lead, but Dúbravka was on hand to keep out Dilane Bakwa’s curling on target effort.
With nothing much to separate the two sides as half-time approached, Josh Laurent then fizzed a teasing ball into the area, which narrowly missed the feet of the lurking Foster and Anthony.
The final chance of the first-half fell Burnley’s way after a flurry of late pressure, as Tchaouna’s stinging free-kick from 25-yards out rattled the crossbar, leaving Sels stranded between the sticks.
The Clarets started the second-half on the front foot and came close to an early lead with just 30 seconds played, as Anthony was threaded through into the area by Foster, forcing Sels to make a save and keep the in-form winger out.
Anthony was causing the Forest defence all sorts of problems and was looking to grab his second goal of the afternoon just before the hour mark, but his curled strike was palmed away by Sels.

In a game which looked like the Clarets were going to go on and win, Forest then opened up a couple of late opportunities themselves.
First up was substitute Jesus, who saw his header from inside the area saved well by Dúbravka, before the Slovakian international made another crucial stop to keep out Williams.
There was time for Hartman to make a vital block to deny another Forest substitute in Kalimuendo, as the Clarets managed to see out a late flurry of pressure to secure a point.
