June 4, 2025-Those who want to see more goals scored in soccer games need to watch Dix Hills Angel City. The team scored an amazing 37 goals in five State Open Cup matches, averaging more than seven goals per game, to win the Girls-Under-13 cup.
In the final on Sunday, June 1 at the Blue Sky Sports Complex in Middletown, Dix Hills defeated NYCFC North, 5-2. Ashley Puliafico and Sarah Bachman each scored two goals while Kailey Pierce added one.
“It’s been a wonderful season,” Dix Hills coach Olando Evans said. “I took the team last season, it was a challenge to start but they kept improving. This is a special group of girls.”
Dix Hills will represent the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) at the East Regionals from June 28 to July 3 in Loudoun County, Virginia as part of the National Championship Series.
