- New York Red Bulls (5-5-3, 18 pts.) fell to Nashville SC (7-4-2, 23 pts.), 2-1, on Wednesday night at GEODIS Park.
- Nashville opened the scoring in the 34th minute, when midfielder Patrick Yazbeck carried the ball to the top of New York’s eighteen-yard box and fired a shot into the right side of the net.
- The Red Bulls equalized in the 56th minute, when midfielder Cameron Harper picked up the ball and sent a cross to the back post of Nashville’s goal, where forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting headed his attempt to the far post and scored.
- Nashville took the lead in the 63rd minute, when forward Sam Surridge played a ball across and found the foot of midfielder Alex Muyl, who laid the ball off for Hany Mukhtar, who fired a low shot in the bottom left corner.
