New York City FC II Announces 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Schedule
NEW YORK – January 27, 2025 – New York City FC II today announced its schedule for the upcoming 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season. The club will play 28 in-conference matches as MLS NEXT Pro enters its fourth year.
The ‘Boys in Blue’ will kick off their season on Friday, March 7, at 7pm ET against Crown Legacy FC at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex in Matthews, North Carolina. New York City FC II will return to Queens for their home opener on Friday, March 14, hosting Columbus Crew 2 at 7:30pm ET at St. John’s University’s Belson Stadium.
In addition to Belson Stadium, New York City FC II will play four home matches at the iconic ICAHN Stadium, located on Randall’s Island in the heart of New York City. The venue offers easy access to East Harlem, the South Bronx, and Queens. To kick off the series, New York City welcomes Chicago Fire FC II on Friday, August 8 at 7:30pm ET. The club will also face Columbus Crew 2, New England Revolution II and Chattanooga FC on Randall’s Island.
This season’s Hudson River Derby will feature three highly anticipated matchups. The first being an away match on Sunday, March 30, at 5pm ET at Montclair State University. The Pigeons will then welcome their rivals on Friday, May 9, at 7:30pm ET to Belson Stadium, before closing out the Hudson River Derby series on Sunday, July 20, at 7pm ET in Montclair.
The 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season begins on Friday, March 7, and concludes on Decision Day, Sunday, October 5, with Eastern Conference matches kicking off at 1pm ET. Playoffs will follow, beginning the weekend of October 17 consisting of the top eight teams in each conference.
This season’s schedule spans 30 weeks and consists of 28 matches, split evenly between home and away games. Clubs will face each divisional opponent up to three times, along with other intra-conference matchups, to round out the schedule.
The majority of regular season matches, including all Decision Day, playoff games, and the MLS NEXT Pro Cup, will be available to watch live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. The remaining regular season matches will stream live on MLSNEXTPro.com.
