New York Red Bulls Head Coach Sandro Schwarz
On Orlando City SC…
Yeah, we analyze Orlando as well today and they have changed the structure from the first game when we played the road game in Orlando, so they change now to a structure with three center backs and three central midfield players and two strikers and they have a lot of good moments in their offensive behavior especially after crossing situations, so in these moments they are very dangerous. So, this what we have to defend as a team and then it is not so easy in some moments to gain some chances. So, this is then for us important to find good movements to have our counter-press situations and then to create our own chances.
On preparation for the match…
Yeah, a training session is more recovery and today, we train a little bit with ball possession games, but not with the highest intensity. This was the main focus today in our training session and in our video session is as usual to prepare the opponent in these sequences which we analyzed with our coaching team. So, today was the main part of their defense and tomorrow will be the main pattern of their offense. So, this is what we analyzed and then to prepare our match plan against Orlando City SC.
New York Red Bulls Midfielder Lewis Morgan
On the team’s confidence…
Yeah, obviously the confidence is really high. It is always high when we play at Red Bull Arena as well, and I think we are undefeated there this year. It is something that we want to keep going. Obviously, we played Orlando earlier this year, we know their strengths and weaknesses and it is always a really tough game when we play against them, but we are confident that if we execute our game plan and play the way that we should, that we can get the three points.
On the play at Red Bull Arena…
It is massive, I mean it felt that we hardly played at home to be honest. I think nine of our first 14 matches were away from home, so it is definitely an advantage getting those games out of the way and now we get to come back to Red Bull Arena and play a lot of games between now and Leagues Cup at home, so we have to capitalize on that.
