New York Red Bulls Head Coach Sandro Schwarz
On the match against NYCFC…
Yeah, first of all, to have the focus on our target, how we want to play and which is important our behavior on the field and we know that this is a special game and we said this in the morning, in our meeting today. It is not a normal game in the regular season, it is a special game. It’s a Derby game and we had this experience on Wednesday against D.C. United, it was also a special game for us and so, next game, short week, we have six points now in this week. New York City FC as well is a very good team especially in the last weeks. Also, they got the results and they have quality in their roster and it is good. It is good to see now tomorrow to have the opportunity against a very good team, how we can defend and how we can attack against them.
On the rotation of the squad…
The reason that the coach sometimes it is good not to read everything at the beginning of the season. So yeah, it is our work, it is the work from the whole coaching staff, from the whole medical staff to bring all the players in a very good spot. It is the behavior of the players every day to be ready in the training session with the highest energy, which we need. So, and the result is then development, individual development as a team the development and it is good to see that we get also the results.
New York Red Bulls Defender Noah Eile
On the feeling of the team…
Yeah, we are feeling good. I think before this week, we had some difficult results. I think it was really nice to bounce back like we have done this week, but we know that will mean nothing with the six points if we lose tomorrow, so we are prepared and ready for our big game and it is a really important one.
On the anticipation of his first New York Derby…
Yeah, I think as I mentioned a little bit before, I think just try to keep it as normal as possible to treat it as a normal game. Yeah, if you build it up too much in your head, it can get in your head, which creates more nerves and stuff. So, I think try to keep it as normal as possible and because we have had such a tight week with a lot of games, we have not had much time to think about the game too much. I think that is good to just go with the flow and go for the game. Yeah, for the supporters, I hope as many as possible can come to the game and cheer us on. I think their support has been so good this season, away from home as well. Also in D.C., we saw them, and it was so good. So, I think hopefully as many as possible can come and cheer us on for hopefully three points.
