CARY, N.C. (May 3, 2024) – The North Carolina Football Club today announced the local broadcast schedule for its two professional soccer teams, the North Carolina Courage of the NWSL and North Carolina FC of the USL Championship.
There will be 20 total matches, split 12 NCFC and eight Courage, broadcast locally in the Triangle. Four matches have already aired, including the Courage match against the Portland Thorns on WRAL-TV on April 13, which the Courage won 2-0. Most remaining matches will air on COZI-TV. “Our local supporters are our lifeblood, and it is crucial to have options for Triangle residents to tune in and watch our high-quality athletes perform. We have a great broadcast crew who know our teams, club, and fanbase. They help bring the full North Carolina Football Club experience into homes throughout the region and connect our community with our club,” said North Carolina Football Club President Francie Gottsegen.
“We are incredibly proud to be supporters of the North Carolina Courage and North Carolina FC,” said Joel Davis, Vice President and General Manager of WRAL-TV & FOX 50. “The ability to broadcast a variety of both clubs’ games across our television portfolio allows fans even greater access to world class soccer. We take our commitment to supporting local and professional athletes very seriously, it’s such an important opportunity for community celebration. Consider the WRAL team part of the official fandom.”
Dean Linke will serve as the primary play-by-play voice of the local broadcasts. Analysts for Courage games will include a rotation of Heather O’Reilly, Jessica McDonald, and Kendall White. Andrew Tait will be the primary analyst on North Carolina FC telecasts.
