Orlando midfielder Gunnhildur Jónsdóttir scored her second goal of the Challenge Cup in her side’s 1-1 draw to close the group stage against Gotham FC. Orlando’s Darian Jenkins and her two goals against North Carolina are the only other goals Orlando scored in the Challenge Cup, though Jenkins was a main fixture of their forward play throughout.
Gotham midfielder Kristie Mewis has chipped in two goals of her own for the visitors, both of which came from the penalty spot against Orlando and Washington respectively. Prior to this year, only one of Mewis’ 28 career goals in NWSL competitions had come through a penalty kick.
