Concacaf Champions League Clubs begin training Monday, all MLS clubs permitted to open camp Sunday
NEW YORK (Monday, Jan. 10, 2022) – All 28 Major League Soccer teams are permitted to resume team training this week as preparations begin for the 2022 MLS season. Major League Soccer’s 27th season, which kicks off on February 26, will see the debut of expansion club Charlotte FC, as well as the opening of Nashville SC stadium.
Prior to participating in any team activities, all players and Tier 1 and 2 staff members must successfully complete approved molecular testing for COVID-19 and participate in mandatory entrance exams.
While there is no limit to the number of players that a club may have on its roster during preseason, all teams must be roster compliant by Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. ET.
