From the top league in Portugal to the top league in North America for Bruno Gaspar as he says "ate" to Sporting CP in the Primeira Liga for MLS and the 'Caps. The fullback will of course occupy an international spot during his loan, good all season long with the team holding an option to buy him outright.

Gaspar told "The Whitecaps fans can be sure I will give 200% in every minute of every game. I look forward to joining my new teammates and can't wait to get started." Though used in many spots, he is mostly on the right side, saw time on the left with Olympiacos as they took two tittles during his loan period. His firs pro team was Benfica B after their Academy in 2013. A rio of years with the B side, then had him off to Vitoria de Guimaraes a 2014 loan, made permanent in '15. ACF Fiorentina had him for a year, 2017-'18, then back to Portugal for 2018.
A native of Evora in Portugal, he was with their YNT from U-15-21. His father, a native of Angola had him eligible to play thee as well, as he now has a quartet of games with them, even 3 stars in the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019.
