The team gave had a paltry .96 GAA, tops in any first year team in MLS lore, aided by 9 shutouts. Just 22 goals was great for the 3rd spot in the MLS and just a pair more than team at #1.
Going on goal he also fared fairly well, with 22 starts, he had a trio of goals and one assist, his goals of course included the first one in team history. A stalwart on the USMNT, he topped MLS with 69 headed clearances and won 64 aerials, tied for # 6 in MLS play.
