Saturday evening, same time as NYCFC kickoff so to do their landlords, such a bad idea splitting the NY market with both going at the same time. Catch it on MSG, MSG Go & New York Red Bulls Radio.
DC leads this historic series 42-34-17, even more so at home, 21-13-47, they met last at RBA with DC taking the game for the first time there in over 4 years of league play. NY hopes to break their recent poor form with 2 losses in a row, one would think DC would not be much trouble with 2 wins on the year, but, fully half their wins are facing the Red Bulls this year, they would like to make it 2/3's. Given NY played worse yet facing the Union who are a better side, it does look like NY may be seeing Red around 9 p.m. Saturday evening. A week and a half ago as the game was winding down the visitors took away all 3 points with a goal by Sorga. Interestingly enough, NY has yet to lose at the new home of United going 2-0-1 with a 6-4 goal differential.
BWP leads the team in total goals facing DC as he struck 10 times. Last time out a 2-1 NY win, Royer and Kaku both scored, the first time at Audi Field, it was Kaku with the game winning assist. NY hopes these two are able to replicate the more distant rather than the more recent past.
