Ranko a CB out of FK Vojvodina from the SuperLiga is now with Vancouver, the 20 year old is on a one year loan and team option to buy the player outright, utilizing TAM for the transaction.
'Caps SD, Axel Schuster informed " At age 20, Ranko already has a lot of experience playing in a highly competitive league in Siberia. He sees MLS as the next challenge as he continues to develop as a player."
HC Marc Dos Santos added "We were looking to add another center back to our roster since November, so this move has been in the works for a while and at the same time we wanted to bring in the right player. We are looking forward to him joining the team as soon as possible."
Last season, he was selected as captian with 20 games, 19 starts, the team was 3rd as they came to the winter break. The 6'2" player has 64 first team games with FK Vojvodina. At the international level, he has been with the Sebian U-16, 17, 18, 19 & 21's. Last with the U-21's for the 2021 UEFA Championship qualifiers in Nov.
