From NJ, one of my top USMNT players ever, Tab Ramos will now steer the Dynamo. A long time member of the USMNT a pro in Europe and MLS, their first player signed, Tab is now out of the USSF soccer staff having had years of unheard of successes at the top youth levels, including 3 straight U-20 World Cup Quarters. He walks away from being the Youth Technical Director and U-20 HC to steer Houston in the MLS. Tab stated, " I want to thank US Soccer for the opportunity to help build and guide the Men's Youth National Team Program. 2017 & '18 had Ramos take the US to the first 2 confederation titles with the U-20's. USSF Prsident Carlos Cordeiro added, " Tab did a fantastic job guiding our Men's Youth National Team . We thank him for his tireless dedication and achivements during the past 8 years and wish him all the best as head coach in Major League Soccer." Tab follows others who as coaches passed through the US Youth National Teams, such as Peter Nowak, Wilmer Cabrerea & John Hackworth. Earnie Stewart, USSF Sporting Director had this to say of Tab, " Tab helped continued the progress of our men's youth program and heavily contributed to the international deveopment of some of our most promising National Team players." A record setter at the international level, Ramos is the only male to be involved with 11 FIFA world championships as a player or coach. We have been acquainted with Tab for decades now and know him to be of course a great soccer person yet a better person, buena suerte Tab.
