Chicago midfielder Frankwoski had a brace as Katai & Saponog hit once each, giving them a 5 game unbeaten streak and the largest of the few away wins on the year. Just 5 minutes in it looked like anything but a Fire romp as Michel found Akindele who sent one goalward, off the post and the FIre 'keeper, Kronholm. Gaining control of the game early with their 60%  possession for the first quater hour, Chicago had Katai & Sapong press and cause an own goal at 17'. More FIre pressure lead to another goal scoring opportunity as Akindele had a tremendous chance. The FIre Man of the Match, Kronholm came up huge with a kick save, one of his 8 on the day. Chicago at the half hour mark all but took the lead as Bronico was vicitmized on a great stop by Rowe, off a feed from Gaitan. The 2nd half had many great opportunities for Chicago then they hit for 3 in 6 minutes and a 4-1 lead. At 61', Katai put a ball into the penalty area, to Herbers, a 2nd half sub, then played it in front of the goal for the Sapong tap in goal #13 and the Golden Boot on the team. Katai set up the first pair of goals for his side then at 63' he got a goal of his own, off his left foot for #6 on the year. Frankowski got in on the fun in the 67' as Bronico fed McCarty in the box, he then one timed it for the back heel that was sent into the corner. Orlando pulled one back in the 74' with Klejstan feeding Michel who ran onto it and sent it home. At 85' the Fire 'keeper was called into action again stopping a point blank shot by Michel, stopping the home side from getting the third goal. At 86' and Frankowski closed out the scoring spree Schweinsteiger has his pass moved on by Nikolic, finding Ferankowski in stride, the first shot was stopped but went straight up by Rowe, he stayed with it then headed it home for his 5th on the year.
