GK Alyssa Naeher: We saw her a good deal over the summer with the USWNT and in Sept. she had 14 saves and but a pair of goals. Her Red Stars took all 5 games of the month clinching a playoff spot and a home game in the playoffs.
D Jaelene Hinkle: Her first goal of the season facing the Royals and her 72.7% tackle succes rate paired with a 71.5% pass success set her up for selection from the Courage.
D Lauren Barnes: The Reign defender was here in RBA and played all 90 minutes there and in the 2 other games of the month. A high tackle success rate of 71.5% and higher yet 80% pass success rate assured her of her spot.
D Julie Ertz: we were lucky enough to meet her mother in law earlier this year. She also played all 5 Red Stars games taking her 64% tackle success rate couple with the 72.8% pass rate and 57.6 success rates got her there.
D Casey Short: A game winning goal facing the Pride for this Red Star now she has a pair. The 42 clearances and 64.3 tackel success rate made for a stellar month.
M Beverly Yanez: Also a local visitor to Red Bull Arena with her Reign team, she hit for her first goal facing the Pride, an assist facing both the Royals & Thorns, clinching a place in the NWSL 2nd season and a 71.2% success passing rate, rated her entry to the team.
M Debhina: From Brazil to playing for Long Island legend Paul Riley in NC, she had a trio of assists and goals alike, the assists came facing the Thorns as well as a goal facing them, the Pride and Royals, together with her 71.4% pass success rate got her here.
M Morgan Brian: Another member of he USWNT, she assited on a goal facing the Dash and hit for a hat trick for her Red Stars over the Royals and her success rates in passing with 81.3% & 61.5% in tackles are great numbers.
F Yuki Nagasato: She assisted facing the Dash, & Sky Blue as she also scored for the Red Stars. Next game with the Spirit he scored and assisted again, facing the Royals she had the game winning goal.
F Sam Kerr: From Oz she was Player of the Week in Sept. Kicked off her month with a brace facing the Dash, assisted then against the Pride and Sky Blue to go with a goal. Against the Spirit she assisted on one and scored 2 goals, setting the league standard of hers with the 18th of the season.
F Lynn Williams: A hat trick in the game with the Thorns, a goal next game with the Pride then another in the Spirit game got her to a dozen on the season with the Courage.
