At the 58th minute an own goal made it 2-0, just after the restart, USMNT player Brek Shea hit a shot form the left, saved by Guzan, leading to a breakaway that Martinez buried for a 3-0 lead. A ball played over the top by the 'Caps made it 3-1, just over a minute later Shea again had a great chance but was unable to get a shot off.
