CHICAGO (March 15, 2022) – U.S. Soccer today announced multi-award winning comedienne, social media sensation and author Elsa Majimbo as its Keynote Speaker for the 2022 SheBelieves Summit, presented by Deloitte, which will take place on March 18 and 19 at Hudson Loft in Los Angeles and virtually via the SheBelieves Hub.
Majimbo took the world by storm in 2021 amid the COVID-19 global pandemic, amassing millions of followers across all social media to create a truly global platform. Over the course of the last 18 months, Majimbo has won an array of awards including the E People’s Choice Award, YouTube Streamy, Forbes Entertainer of the Year Award (Africa) and the GQ Entertainer of the Year Award (SA). Majimbo is also a 15-time chess champion, including five national championship wins.
Majimbo is the first comedian in history to land a High Fashion Couture Collaboration (Maison Valentino). She is the co-author of the humorous children’s book titled The Alphabet for Kids & Adults, and recently released her debut NFT collection based on The Alphabet Universe.
Earlier this year, Majimbo moved to Los Angeles to start a new life and build on her professional success. She is currently developing several series while continuing to build on her incredible platform.
In her keynote speech, Majimbo will focus on the themes of authenticity, building a personal brand while thinking creatively and going against the mold, using social media as a tool to gain exposure, facing adversity and dealing with failure and discouragement, as well as the importance of and tips for professional networking.
In its seventh year, the SheBelieves platform continues to grow into one of the largest women focused platforms across the world. With the vision of inspiring the next generation, U.S. Soccer and Deloitte will provide college students with the opportunity to learn from and network with industry professionals through a range of panels, lectures, and breakout sessions highlighting key themes in the areas of Community, Confidence, and Career.
