NCFC Retains Albadawi

The ink may not be dry as yet on the new deal for one of the best in club lore and their leader in assists. From Raleigh, one of the most successful players in team history, at just 28, he may have many more years of service to come with his 24 assists leading the team and he is near the top in a few other categories, he holds the 5th position in games with 141, ditto in minutes with 11,739 and is one higher in goals at 25, quite a balance with his assists. Dava Sarachan stated, "Everything that I was told about Nazmi in terms of his character, on-field talent, his connection to the community and his leadership..every box was checked this year". Despite coming in late and missing time due to international duty, he was still a huge part of the roster from the word go.  WIth his first pro game in April 2014 he was then an NASL Best XI in '16 & '17 with 7 goals and 14 assists over the pair of seasons and club captain, the 10 assists in '16 set an league record on a year. Off to the USL Championship for the last year there for FC Cincy, he hit for 11 goals, kept on for the first year in MLS, he came back home on loan in May and stayed for the remainder of the season. Once back in the Triangle, he was an impact player as they got back to the post season for the 2nd time in 3 years. Over his 19 games Nazmi had 4 goals and 5 assists, the last assist was facing Birmingham in a playoff game, that assist put him past Tiyi Shipalane. He is now in double digits for the Palestine national team. Along with Bean Speas & Steve Miller, Albadawi is a big player due back in 2020
