NCFC Drops one to Indy 11

With a handful of former New York Cosmos players, Indy 11 were able to hold off the visitors 3-2 on a last minute goal after giving up a 2-0 lead. The away side had a major advantage in shots at 24-15 but Indy found the mark on a far higher % of their attempts on goal. Starikov opened the scoring in the  7th minute and Guerra closed the books near the closing of the game. NCFC kept pressing and in the 21st minute a goal line clearance by Carlyle held off a goal as the Kandziora shot got under the netminder, Williams. Kandziora again in the 29' just missed the post. Indy took the lead by 2 as Speas, our of UNC-CHapel Hill hit in the upper 90 from 28 yards. As the first half drew to a close, a free kick by Bekker went over the wall then lower 90 to draw within 1, his 3rd score of the season. The 2nd half began with NCFC gettting the better of play at 77' Fernandes fed Lomis for his 5th of the year.
