AS Monaco adds to their Staff

They are building their sports group and have installed a Performance Dept. to join the athletic development and medical pieces and have Bunce, James Bunce at the helm.

At just 34, he has a vast level of experience in the states and England. With the USSF since 2017, he was the Dir. of High Performance Dept. of the USSF. covering all 21 NT's, even the 2019 World Cup Winners. He is a grad of Univ. of Portsmouth for Sport Science, and jumped rright in at Portsmouth in 2017. There he headed the physical preperation at the Academy, then moved up to the Head of Athletic Development. 

He is the originator of the bio banding cooncept, it groups players by their physical develpment, not age. 2014 saw him pursued by the PL and he went to work there as the Head of Elite Performance to assist in growing the development and transfer of skills within the teams to raise their professionalism in performance management, data analysis along with the medical, nutritional and psychological. monitoring of players.

The new position with Monaco will have James overseeing the medical and atheltic development areas of the team, in the Academy and share his findings with Cercle Brugge. 

In that he will be under Paul Mitchell, the Sporting Director, Bunce will key on injury prevention and risk reduction, monitoing physical preperation, performance, medical, nutitional and psychological apsects.
