Marseille inflicted a first defeat in Reims since last September with a 2-1 victory at the Stade Auguste Delaune.
Folarin Balogun's 13th-minute strike was quickly cancelled out by Alexis Sanchez's fine free kick (16'). The Chilean raced through to net the visitors' winner (29') to close the gap on leaders PSG to seven points.
"The team had a good mindset and a good mentality," said Marseille coach Igor Tudor. "At 2-1 up, we stopped playing a little as we tried to preserve the result. But we remained focussed. It's not easy to win here."
