NEW YORK AND MEXICO CITY (August 28, 2025) – Seattle Sounders and Inter Miami CF will meet this Sunday, August 31, in the 2025 Leagues Cup Final at Lumen Field in Seattle to compete for the tournament title and a coveted spot in the Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16. The LA Galaxy and Orlando City SC will face off to determine the third Champions Cup spot in the Leagues Cup Third Place Match, also taking place Sunday at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. The schedule for both matches is provided below.
Sunday's Leagues Cup Final will mark the first official meeting in any competition between Seattle and Miami in over three years.
Inter Miami CF is vying for its second Leagues Cup title after securing the inaugural trophy in 2023. The Seattle Sounders will be seeking the one major title the club has yet to win – Leagues Cup.
In the Wednesday night semifinals, Inter Miami CF defeated Orlando City 3-1, with three goals — two from Lionel Messi’s left foot — scored in the final 15 minutes of the match. Seattle Sounders won 2-0 over the LA Galaxy, with goals from Pedro de la Vega and Osaze De Rosario.

Leagues Cup 2025 introduced a new two-phase format, with exclusively MLS vs. LIGA MX matchups through the Quarterfinals. The tournament will decide three qualifiers for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup in which the winner will represent the region at the FIFA Club World Cup.
