By Sean McCaffery, May 15, 2020

Soka Afrika is an award wining documentary as it looks at players being taken from Africa with the promise of soccer success in Europe. Many do not meet with such a great fate as there are many obstacles from dirty player agents, injuries, shattered promises even family shame.

This doc. took the Golden Whistle Award in 2011 at the Kicking & Screening Soccer FIlm Festival. It delves into the varied aspects positive and negative of player trafficking to Europe from Africa. This keys on the experieinces of a pair of younger footballers,, Kermit Erasmus from South Africa & Ndomo Sabo out of Cameroon. Many such playes wind up just strewn aside in Europe. This disturbed the principals in the film and they sought out to make the short ahead of meeting with a fellow looking to solve this issue, Jean Claude Mbvomin of Culture Foot Solidaire.

Now some ten years later not much has changed.
