Juarez joins Delia at NYCFC

Efrain Juarez had been with El Tri and last played with Valerenga of Norway for Dellia last year. He had an 11 year pro career during which he was with Celtic FC, Real Zaragoza, FC Monterrey as well as 2 bigger clubs out of Mexico, Club America & UNAM. 2018 had him with the Whitecaps of MLS, so he brings a players perspective on many opponents. 

Efrain stated "The opportunity to be reunited with Ronny was an easy decision for me and I am very excited to join NYCFC. I am grateful to everyone here, especially Ronny and David Lee. I can't think of a better Club to be at as I begin this new chapter of my preofessional career."

A native of Mexico City, he played in the back and midfield and had been with the Academy of UNAM, and La Masia Academy of FC Barcelona. He had his first minutes with El Tri in 2009, totalling 39 games, highlighted by the 2010 FIFA World CUp in South Africa.

HC Delia informed "I'm really happy to welcome Efrain into our staff and it's great to be reuninted after working with him in Norway. He knows what it takes to be a professional player at the highest level, and he will bring great experience and energy as he works closely with our players to help them develop every day. I'm excited for him to join us and I'm confident he'll make an immediate impact."

Efrain has taken many titles as a player, UNAM, Club America & Monterrey saw him garner many trophies. His time in 2005 with the U-17's of Mexico saw them win the World Championship. He was later with the senior team as they topped the Gold Cup in 2009 &'11.

NYCFC SD David Lee added " We're very excited to welcome Efrain to New York City as a part of Ronny's staff. He brings a wealth of experience not only at the club level, but with the Mexican National Team as well, He has won titles throughout his career and that winning mentality will only benefit our players.
