Imani is in for 2020

Dorsey is back by way of a 1 year deal and another as a team option.

Imani stated "This club graciously gave me my first shot at the pros 2 years ago, and today I am excited to recommit to this team. I am eager to be a part of Sky Blue's historic inagural season at Red Bull Arena."

At just 32, she enters her 3rd year with the team. The last one had her playing up front and on the backline, her 23 starts came with a pair of goals, 27 interceptions, and two dozen clearances. The first year was good for 1,1047 minutes over 13 games, starting a dozen, 4 goals and the NWSL Rookie of the Year Honor.

HC Freya Coombe told "We are so happy to have Imani signing a new contract with Sky Blue.

Imani was the #5 pick in the draft, out of Duke, she was the 2017 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, 2017 US 1st Team All-American and semifinalist for the Hermann. In her 87 games for the Blue Devils, she had 29 goals and 22 assissts.

GM Alyse LaHue stated "Imani has had an incredible start to her pro career with the seaon and a half she's spent at Sky BLue. She is the type of player you want to build your club around for years to come"

Her first time with the USWNT was in Nov. 2019, the camp in advance of Sweden & Costa Rica. She was later part of the 24 player roseter for the WNT Dec. Id Camp.
