The leading goal getter for Penn FC of the USL has been brought into camp for the Africa Cup of Nations. I must wonder while he played very well in a higher level here with the NY Cosmos that he never received this, however am overjoyed that this honor has finally come to him. His 9 goals may have gone a long way toward getting this, what should be his first cap on Sept. 9 facing Congo.

Lucky stated, "It's something that I always wanted as a kid growing up and I feel like, and parents too think, that they are really, really proud for this call up because I know my dad has been hoping that one day it would happen. And for me, I think it's the ultimate goal for any professional athlete to be called up and represent their country. So for me it's an honor and I'm really grateful for that". He learned of this in a call from the manager of his nations' team, Sunday Chizambwa.
Lucky will depart for Africa following the game with Bethlehem Steel, train in Harare then off to Brazzaville. This will be the 2nd of 5 games for his nation in group G of the 2019 tourney qualifying. They are together with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Congo, & Liberia, folowing a double round robin, the top 2 move on to the Cup. Beating the Liberian team 3-0 via a hat trick from Knowledge Musonam who along with Khama Billiat were past academy teammates to Lucky in an academy, Khama was on the provisional roster as well that was put out earlier this month.
