Always a great thing to have your players recognized by their home nation and chosen to represent them in international play, this FIFA window the Red Bulls have a terrific group going home. These players are Aaron Long of the US, see our Facebook page for video of him, Kemar Lawrence, we saw Taxi play for Jamaica just a few weeks ago, and Michael Amir Murillo of Panama who we saw face Taxi live, all are called back by their teams based on their stellar play during the Gold Cup. Kaku gets a well deserved call up to his Paraguay while Omir Fernandez and Kyle Duncan are off to the USMNT U-23's.
Long, out of Oak Hills CA, has been a mainstay in camp of late and had a great showing in the Gold Cup. At just 26, he now has 11 games for his nation, all starts and captained his side 2x. He was a stalwart in the US defense that kept 3 clean sheets throughout the Cup as they took 2nd to their next opponent Mexico. He hit for a brace in a 6-0 thumping of TNT.
Lawrence is now over 50 caps for his Reggae Boyz and had a tremendous Gold Cup as well with Jamaica getting to the Semifinal. He started all games and helped them to a pair of shutouts in the competition. Come the 6th he will face Antigua & Barbuda then Guyana on the 9th, both group stage games for the 2019-'20 Nations Cup.
Murillo is back to the Panamanian team which lead him to a quater final game with the team of Taxi prevailing 1-0. He was in all 4 games, with an assist and 284 minutes played, they are now set to face a home and away pair of games with Bermuda, Sept. 5 & 8 also in the group stage of the 2019-'20 Concacaf Nations Cup.
Kaku who had not been in camp since March of this year with Peru & Mexico. He hopes to get minutes now up against Japan 9/5 & Joedan 9/10 both away.
