Fire Fit their TV Booth

Tony Meola well known on the island as he was with the National Champion Long Island Rough Riders, the MLS team Metro Stars and of course the USMNT, out of NJ. Arlo White is the lead play-by-paly for NBC Sports Group and their PL games, he is back to MLS. Tyler Terens who had played college ball is thought of as one of the top young American football voices, and will handle the color. This trio will handle the call on the 24 locally broadcast games of WGN-TV & ESPN +. Kicking off on Mar. 7 with the Revs. away, the coverage will start at 12:15 p.m. CT with their live pregame show on ESPN+, 12:30 will begin coverage on WGN. Fully 18 games will be in prime time, ten nationally shown on ABC, ESPN, FS1, Univision & UniMas.

Arlo White: This will be his initial term with the team, out of Leicester England he has been with NBC since they began with the PL in the 2013-'14 season. He will get the call druing the down time of the PL, mid-May to mid-Aug. Come the Tokyo Olympics, he will handle those for NBC. having done them last in 2016 in RIo and the 2012 London games. Arlo had been doing the NBC MLS games and USNT games, after being the play-by-play person for the Sounders. Now he is back in the UK fr the PL games at the venues.

White informed "I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said that my first visit to Chicago in 1986 as a wide-eyes 13-year old visiting my uncle and auntie had a profound impact on the course of my life. I've obsessed with all things Chicago and Americana ever since,If you'd told that English teenager that 30-odd-years later he would have the oppotunity to call football matches for the Fire's return to Soldier Field? Well. I think he'd have cried tears of joy. I just love being here. This is an exciting year for Chicago Fire FC and I am delighted to bring my experience to the Soldier Field booth."

Tony Meola: US Soccer Hall of Famer, has this as his first time with the Fire broadcast crew, but he has done many games including NY Cosmos games in the recent past, even coaching against them with Long Islander Jimmy Rooney of Deer Park as his assitant with the Jacksonville Armada in the NASL. From Kearny NJ, he was in Russia as a big part oof the FOX team during the 2018 World Cup. Counter Attack is his daily radio show on SiriusXM FC and he has co-hosted it for some 7 years now. Along with the most recent World Cup, Tony has done more with FOX, UEFA Champions League, MLS, Europa League, USMNT, FIFA U-17 World Cup and the U-20 Cup as well. 

Tony informed "I'm excited to join the Fire broadcast team and look forward to working with Arlo & Tylere this year. This season will be an exciting one for the club with a new Head Coach, a homecoming at Soldier Field, a new broadcast partner in WGN and the continued passion of the fans. I am looking forward to a great season."

Tyler Terens: With over 500 games under his belt, this is his first year with the Fire, he has done such games as CCL, Gold CUp, Concacaf Champions League, Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, USL & NCAA, the last 2 years he was the voice of the Phoenix Rising FC and the CCL Show. LIke Meola he is a Jersey native, from Scotch Plains and played his college ball at Hobart in Geneva NY, a 2016 grad, then onto NCAA teams of Princeton, Holy Cross & Stevens Institue of Technology.
