The Chicago team did pick up their option on their defender, and is now in the fold for next year as well.
"We are pleased that Jonathan wil be back with the team in 2021" stated Sporting Dir. Gerog Heitz, "Jonathan has also been an excllent leader and mentor for the many young players on the squad. We look forward to working with him again next season."
He came to the team just over a year ago, having 11 games in a row all starts during that season, as the team secured 5 shut outs and acquired 19 points. Thus far this year, he has 4 starts and his first goal, March 7 facing the Revs. He has overall 319 pro games in the top tier of the states, Mexico and Israel, to go with his 38 USMNT caps 2 in the World Cup.
