Fire add a Loon to their "D"

Wyatt Omsberg has come over to the Windy City from the Land of a Thousand Lakes as he blows into Chicago from Minnesota United FC, Raheem Edwards is now off to Minnesota. Wyatt is signed for 2 years, the 3rd is a team aption.

Fire HC Raphael WIcky informed "Wyatt is a strong and imposing defender (6'4", 180) who will provide competition at the center back position. I am looking forward to working with him and welcoming him to the team." Just in 2018, he was the #15 pick in the MLS for MN, getting 7 games, 4 starts in league play, another 4 starts came during his loan period to FC Tulsa of the USL Championship. 2019 saw him get 15 games, all starts with USL League One club Madison FC.

Over 4 years at Dartmouth, he was the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year twice over, selected as team captain his last year, they conceeded but a dozen regular season goals.
