Find out what is stronger a Whitecap or a Quake

By Sean McCaffery, October 24, 2020

Both teams predate the MLS, so this is a game with some actual history, not just a quarter of a century and starts at 10 p.m. ET.

There are just over 2 weeks to go in this Covid marred season and with the 'Caps in the last spot for the 2nd season they need the win as there is a log jam ahead of them with just 3 points behind #'s 5,6 & 7, their opponent among them. This is the first of a quartet of games they will play at Providence Park to run out the year, all big ones, LA Galaxy, Sounders and Timbers who tied this week will take them on. A strength of this team has been the back lineĀ  of late, cutting the goals allowed by almost 1.5 per game, they are up against a side that hit them for 7 in the last 2 games, 2 with the 'Caps not at full strength. The last trio of games has featured the same back 4 and GK, that is a good thing.

Older strikers are in vouge for both sides as Freddie Montero has a trio of goals and 5 assists, all in his last nine games, peaking at the right time. Wondo the ageless wonder has started the last half dozen for his 'Quakes with 4 goals and an assist on the year, both sides were shutout last weekend.
