The first time the World Cup will have 48 teams over 80 contests , it will be played in 3 nations, Canada Mexico & the USA, the buzz is building as they consider all 23 host city hopefuls, determination on these is due next year. In the workshops were people from each of the 17 cities in the states up for the 10 spots to be awarded. Mexico and Canada got their's in pre Corona.

In the workshops FIFA gave details on the site selection, how it works and explained the main aspects for determing the successful selection while getting to the rules and procedures of the choosing. Next up will be as discussed yesterday the visits to every city under consideration. These visits by FIFA will not occur until it is deemed safe in line with the health officials regarding the Covid-19 virus. When safe, the FIFA administration will do its job and submit to the FIFA Council to the determine the hosts.

Colin Smith who was in on yesterday's conference call and is the FIFA Chief Tournaments & Events Officer informed "Through our exchanges with the three host associations and the candidate host cities we have sensed a great commitment and enthusiasm to offer the whole world a unique experience inside and  outside of the stadiums.

Dan Flynn, ex USSf CEO, also from the call of Monday lent "One of the many strenghts of our unified bid to bring the FIFA World Cup 2026 to Canada, Mexico and the United states was the wealth of world-class cities and venues that would make spectacular hosts. Determining the cities that will ultimately play host to the matches in the USA will not be easy. I am confident that everyone is ready to get started."
