The colder weather city teams go south, there are tournies done at this time of year, so Ciny went to Phoenix to stay warm. The game got hot via goals from Tommy McCabe, Andrew Gutman & Joseph-Claude Gyau for the 3-0 scoreline from Kino North Stadium, the first official game of the MLS side this preseason.  McCabe kicked off the scoring with his left, it came from a low crossing ball by Rey Ortiz at 22'. Ortiz, the 2nd round MLS SuperDraft pick again assisted Gutman, who put the team up by a pair from just beyond the penalty area. The final score was the result of a turnover in their offensive third and a shot in at the near post, un assisted.

Quotes out of the Cinci camp"

- HC Ron Jans, On FC Cincinnati's fist official preseason game;"I said before the game we went to see how we execute the playing style and I think there are many more positive things than critical things. So that's the playing style."

On seeing what the team practiced being excuted in the match:"Yeah, also a compliment for the people here because you can only do it as a good pitch. It was a good pracrice for Red Bull, They will press and you have to try to play under the press and I think that several times very good, soo it's a good listen."

On having a quick turnaround before the next match:"They play 45 so I hope they will recover quickly and (Sporting Kansas CIty) is of course in MLS, so that's a more stronger opponent. So let's see if we can do it Saturday again. "
