Draw for Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League is 12/3 in Miami

The date and procedures for this draw, the 11th of its kind is now set with members of the 9 nations from the Concacaf Member Associations. Among those will be Sporting Kansas CIty, with their NJ HC, Peter Vermes who has been mentioned as a possible USMNT HC. SKC are still in the MLS Playoffs with the Giovanni Saverese lead Portland Timbers and are one of 5 MLS teams due to partake in this competition by way of taking the 2017 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. Those interested may follow the action on Univision Deportes & Yahoo Sports here in the States, two of the Confederations partners. US based and bigger teams include, Atlanta United, CD Marathon, Monterrey, CS Herediano, Deportiva Saprissa, Houston Dynamo, SKC, Tigres & Toronto FC. 

The draw is to be carried out by Concacaf Chief Football Officer, Manolo Zubiria, and former top players from the region. With the double blind methods in use there are 4 pots, 2 for club and 2 for bracket positioning. The club pots will have 8 clubs as the bracket ones have the 16 possible positions for the teams.
