Seattle holds the historic advantage with nine wins compared to United’s three, and the sides have drawn twice.
DC United has not won in of the last MLS games against Seattle Sounders.

  • D.C. United will be looking to bounce back at home after a 2-0 defeat in New York last week to New York City FC. The Black-and-Red currently sit in 11th place in the Eastern Conference and will host Seattle Sounders FC at Audi Field this Saturday for the club’s 2024 Sustainability Night presented by Audi.

  • It was a cold night but the fans came to the game  to support the red and black team..
  • Seattle started the game controlling the ball better, and they opened the score at 14 minutes. After that, DC United changed the game plan..
  • At 32 minutes into the first half, captain Christian Benteke equalized the match with a great header. At minute 44, the visiting team's goalkeeper,  fouled captain Benteke in the area and he scored in order to give the home team the victory. The visiting team played the entire second half with 10 because the goalkeeper received a red card.
  • DC United takes a good victory and right now places 8th in its conference, East, while its rival is thirteenth of fourteen teams in the Western Conference. The Peruvian Ruidiaz played the second half but could not do anything  to help his team.
It was an intense game but with lack of good touches on the ball.
