Covid-19 gave Bayern Munchen Lemons so the Made Scarves

Their fixture with Chelsea on March 18 in the Champions League at Allianz Arena, marking its 120th anniversary was not to be, so now the commemorative items are to be turned into masks. This is part and parcel of helping the "WeKickCorona" effort by players Josuah Kimmich & Leon Goretzka. These protective masks for young and old alike have the masks going to the players venture as they distribute them to groups in need from food banks, and hosptials in need of medical equipment, homeless and also blood donations as there is now a massive shortfall. A Bavarian company is repurposing them into protective masks.

FCB CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge informed "With this action, we want to show that FC Bayern is ding everything possible to deal with the pandemic in an exemplary and disciplined manner. Meanwhile, we are pleased to be able to contribute to the marvelous initiative of Joshua & Leon."

Jorg Wacker of the FCB Board contributed "In the interest of sustainability, the materials already available in the FC Bayern scarves will be recycled for a good cause."

Kimish added "It was the plan from the beegining that it should not only be an action fo both of us players. It is great that the club is supporting us and now we hope that a nice donatiom will be made for good causes."
