Cosmos B Topped NYAC To Remain 1st In North Atlantic Conference

New York Cosmos B topped visiting NY Athletic Club (NYAC), 4:1, at Columbia University’s Rocco B. Commisso Stadium on Saturday evening, to remain in first place and undefeated (6-0-0 record) in 2018 NPSL’s (National Premier Soccer League) North Atlantic Conference.

Polish forward Wojciech Wojcik and midfielder Joey Sanchez scored in the 19th and 24th minutes, respectively, to give the hosts a 2:0 lead.

U.S. international midfielder Danny Szetela made it 3:0 in favor of Cosmos B just before halftime.

Szetela would notched his second tally of the match in the 53rd minute via penalty kick for a 4:0 advantage.

NYAC, which dropped to 2-1-0 in the North Atlantic Conference, avoided a shutout when forward Travis Blair scored with 20 minutes remaining in the match.

Cosmos B will look to remain atop of the North Atlantic Conference they travel to Brunswick, Maine to face Seacoast United Mariners at Bowdoin College on June 16th.
