Cosmos B gets a 2 TIme MLS Cup Winner in Garcia plus Espinal

Following a double header with LIU Brooklyn  and Hofstra at Hofstra, and a far better showing this week at Columbia, the NY team improved yet again. Late of the LA Galaxy organization comes Rafa Garcia, the multi positional 29 yer old comes in for the 2018 NPSL season. He has over the past 5 years amassed more than 70 games with their teams, taking  a pair of MLS titles in 2012 and 2014. NY Cosmos HC Carlos Mended stated "Rafa has a lot of experience and is a natural leader. He has served as captain of Galaxy II and his championship experience will be invaluable."

Darwin Espinal at 23 brings youth mixed with experience having played with Reno 1868 last year with 2 goals over 12 games, 2015 and 2016 he was with the NASL team Tampa Bay Rowdies netting 4 goals over 25 games. Mendes said of Darwin, " I'm eager to see Darwin in training. Our attacking options are shaping up. With Bledi, Woj, Bartley and now Darwin."

Their inital game is April 29 @ 6p.m. at Boston CIty FC in Malden MA. The U.S. Open Cup has them facing the local Brooklyn Italians May 5 at LIU Brooklyn kick off is set for 8p.m.
