We have brought you much information from this team adding and securing many players for the coming season(s), now news that HC Veljko Paunovic has been locked down for 2 years and another option year. Fire Pres. & GM Nelson Rodriguez stated, "We believe the foundation we are setting and the standards we are demanding are the right ones". Thus far, he is 31-46-25 including the 3rd best record in the league for 2017 at 16-11-7 and their first trip to the post season since 2012. 2017 also had him selected HC of the MLS  All-Star Team, with 4 of his players taking on Real Madrid. His staff stays intact and he was last with the Serbian National Youth Teams, U-18,19 & 20, with many positive results at the international level. The U-19's made it to 3rd place in the UEFA's, U-20's took Brazil for the U-20 World Cup 2-0 for their first ever world title as a soverign nation. Coach had a great playing career, 16 years with 11 teams in Serbia, Spain, Germany, Russia and the US. His 76 goals in a whopping 358 games overall including a pair of caps with Serbia & Montenegro. In La LIga he took a title, Copa del Trophy & Spanish Super Cup. A holder of a UEFA PRO lisc, and Sporting Director degree out of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, he also spent 9 years as a UEFA analyst with TVE, Spain. He speaks 6 languages, just yesterday we put out that a new coaching staff spoke that many combined. What a well rounded figure to continue heading his team.
