Chicago Fire add a Pair

Kevin Ellis a denfender and  goalkeeper Patrick McLain have been picked up by the MLS team, Ellis is guarenteed for this 2018 season and a club option for next while Ellis has the same guarentee with a 2 year team option.  Nelson Rodriguez, President and GM  at the FIre felt that the defender made his mark with the ease of his adjusting to their style of play and the team at large, as he is ready to challange for a spot. As for the backstop we are very well aware of him and his coming back helps us.  

Ellis began as a pro with SKC back in the beginning of the 2011 season being from KC surely made that special, his first appearance was as a 2nd half sub in a 3-2 win over the Crew. He then went on to play in 68 games over the next 7 years getting 5 goals and assists, 3 playoff games led to him scoring a goal  in 2015. He then went on loam to OCSC in 2013, OKC 2014, Swope Park Rangers for 2016-'17. Following being waived by SKC on Feb. 28, Ellis  joined the Fire as a trialist.

Mclain now in his second turn as a member of the Fire after first linking up on Mar. 15, 2012 after his collegiate career at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he on May 5, 2013 took the satge in MLS for the first time for Chivas in the 2nd half v SKC now with 3 MLS games he was with MInnesota last year.
