From Brazil to the Pacific Northwest comes Brazilian Caio Alexandre from Botafogo. The 22 year old midfielder will  most likely report direct to SLC as the team will play there and he will not then have to lose 14 days of self isolation. Team exec Axel Schuster revealed in a media opportunity today that they had chased this player since last year, now they have their prized player.

CEO & Sporting Dir. Schuster said "We are very pleased to welcome Caio Alexandre, who embraced our vision here in Vancouver, despite him also having offers from clubs in Brazil. We are building a young, energetic team with a very clear identity and expectations. In his young age, he has already proven he can perform in one of the top 10 leagues in the world."

Coach Marc Dos Santos informed "Caio Alexandre has the volume and technical ability that will add a different dimension to our team. We've been following him closely for some time as he fits the profile we wanted to add to our group."

He has but one season as a pro in Serie A of Brazil, with 5 goals over all games. Born in Duque de Caxias, he had 34 games, 6 starts in the Copa do Brasil and 10 games in the Campeonato Carioca. Before that he has been with the club since Sept. 2019 and captained their U-20's.

Caio told "I would like to say to the fans, I am extremely happy to join this great club and I will always do my best to bring joy to the faces of all of you."
