BWP is Alcatel MLS Player of the Week

By Sean McCaffery, March 29, 2018

The New York forward was selected for this honor based upon  the strength of 2 goals v Minnesota in a 3-0 win, moving him to alone occupy the 5th place in MLS history with multiple goal games. His first goal, as he had one in each half was off a fancy assist by Hicksville's Tim Parker good for his first points as a Red Bull, following the goal all BWP did was point back to the defender as it was a back of the foot redirection of the ball. His second half goal will prove to be a candidate for Goal of the Week in MLS with his assist from Alex Muyl who scored the middle goal and had his first ever multiple point game the shot was driven over the shoulder of the 'keeper.

Now with 89 goals in his MLS tenure, he is tied for 11th place overall with Carlos Ruiz, while his 88 since the beginning of the 2014 season is tops over a 5 year period, he hopes to fill the back of the net and grow his lead by the end of this season.
