Clarets return to Turf Moor to face the R’s
Scott Parker's team are back in Sky Bet Championship action on Saturday afternoon (3pm) as Burnley host Queens Park Rangers at Turf Moor.
The Clarets head into the weekend off the back of a 1-1 draw with Hull City on Wednesday night, which saw Burnley extend their unbeaten league run to eight matches.

This weekend's opponents QPR are 23rd in the table following the first two months of the season and winless in their last seven league games, but only three points off climbing out of the relegation zone.

The opposition
After spending 13 consecutive seasons in the top-flight following promotion in 1983, the Rs were involved in the Premier League for it's first four years after the launch in 1992, until the Hoops were relegated back to the second-tier in 1996.
Relegation was confirmed to Divison Two in 2001 and it took three years for the London side to return to the Championship in 2004, before promotion back to the Premier League was achieved in 2011 under Neil Warnock.
QPR survived their first season back in the top-flight, after playing Manchester City on the final day of the season in the famous 'Aguero' moment, which saw the R's stay up.
They were however relegated from the Premier League the following season and despite bouncing back via the play-offs at the first time of asking, another relegation followed in 2015.
Rangers have not reached the top-flight since and have had eight different managers in that timeframe with current boss Martí Cifuentes now in charge of the London club.
After avoiding relegation last season following a tricky campaign, the R's have had a sticky start to life in 2024/25, which has seen five defeats, five draws and one win.
In the dugout
Cifuentes started out his coaching career within the academy Spanish side Sabadell, before being appointed assistant manager of the first team in 2006.
The Spaniard had brief spells within the academy's of Millwall and Ajax and then joined Rubi in 2010 working alongside the 'B' team and eventually the first team, before again moving on to second division side Sant Andreu.
May 2018 saw Cifuentes appointed Head Coach of Norwegian side Sandefjord and despite being relegated in his first season, he guided the club to promotion and an instant return to the Eliterserien was confirmed.
Cifuentes departed Sandefjord at the end of 2020 and joined Danish team Aab as Head Coach and following a year-long spell with the Scandinavian side, he left to become boss of Swedish side Hammarby IF.
He enjoyed a successful spell with Hammarby, winning 39 of his 74 matches in charge and losing just 16, which caught the eye of current employer QPR who swooped in and secured the services of the Spaniard in October of last year.
The aim was to keep the London club in the Championship and that was achieved at the end of April, as the Hoops beat Leeds United 4-0 at Loftus Road to confirm their status for the 2024/25 campaign.

What Scott Parker said
"They (QPR) will want to come here and make it very difficult for us. It's a tough game ahead of us, they have some very dangerous players and we're going to need to be at our best throughout.
"They have changed it around a little bit in terms of formation and style of play, but they're going to be well up for it and we know they will be coming here to try get a result.
"We will need to approach it as we always do, apply ourselves the right way and we do that with the commitment and quality within the group that can hopefully get us three points."
