MATCH REPORT: BURNLEY 2 - 1 SHEFFIELD UNITED
Clarets promoted to Premier League with win over Blades
Burnley secured their place back in the Premier League with a win over Sheffield United, which sealed automatic promotion for the Clarets at the first time of asking.
The skipper Josh Brownhill stepped up once again to hit home a brace either side of Tom Cannon's equaliser and it proved to be enough against the Blades at Turf Moor.
Brownhill gave the Clarets the lead in the 28th minute, before Cannon equalised for the visitors shortly after, but Burnley were once again ahead through a penalty just before the break and that proved to be the crucial winning goal.
Head Coach Scott Parker named an unchanged XI from the side that beat Watford on Good Friday last week.

Burnley’s first real opportunity arrived with just over eight minutes played, as Jaidon Anthony lined-up a fierce strike from outside the area, which took a slight deflection off Zian Flemming and away from the hands of Michael Cooper in goal.
The Blades responded to that effort, as Kieffer Moore saw his shot from outside the box gathered comfortably by James Trafford, a few minutes after seeing an earlier strike also denied by the Burnley No.1.
In a lively opening, an excellent Maxime Esteve challenge then saw the defender steer Cannon away from running towards the goal, before eventually winning the ball and driving away from danger.
The Clarets had cranked up the pressure on the Blades and then got their deserved breakthrough just after the midway mark of the first-half.

Josh Cullen rifled an effort from just inside the area, after latching onto a half-clearance, which Brownhill pounced on and hammered home into the roof of the net.
However, that lead didn’t last long, as United replied when Cannon smashed home the equaliser from close range just eight minutes later.
But Burnley weren’t looking to go into the break level, as their persistent pressure paid off once again, this time seeing the hosts awarded a penalty.
Hannibal looked to latch onto a loose ball inside the box, but a poor challenge from Anel Ahmedhodzic saw the Blades defender hack down the midfielder, with David Webb pointing to the spot.
Brownhill stepped-up from 12-yards and slotted in past Cooper for his 16th goal of the campaign to put the hosts ahead at half-time.

After a quiet opening few minutes in the second-half, the Blades then found themselves in a three-on-two counter attack, but Ben Brereton Diaz could only fire well over the target.
With the game reaching the hour mark, Parker then made his first change of the evening as Josh Laurent replaced Edwards.
Despite efforts from the Blades to try to claw a goal back, the Clarets' defence did what they do best and ensured the score remained as it was and kept the away side out.
The result saw the Clarets extend their unbeaten league run to 31 games and seal their place back in the Premier League in emphatic style.
