As you know Gino Dippolito was a major part of the growth of Soccer in this country both in the indoor and outdoor games.
Not only was he one of the best referees of all time, he was an ambassador to the original Major Indoor Soccer League
Gino was also a mentor of many referees, and everybody called him POP because Gino was just like a grandfather to all the young referees all over the USA .
Is there any way that the MASL can convince the National Soccer Hall of Fame committee to give Gino the Ultimate honor in the USA of being elected into the Hall of Fame of US Soccer?
The other referees that also made the final 4 are just as deserving but as time passes, younger generations forget on what the older generation did to make their lives better and even though the MASL does give out the for the Referee of the year an award named the Gino Dippolito and the newcomer award named after Ron Cory,
Gino did lead the way on how to act and perform not only at the Professional level, but at every level of the game and how to be humble with any game and any position that you're assigned to.
Case in point, Gino would go to a city that he was assigned to and even offer to help out with a local game, even if the game was a rec U-8.
Thanks for your attention

MASL 4th official
USSF - NISOA Referee
By the time I first began in soccer, 1982, Brendan was already doing many games. He is still at it today from Futsal to working in the MASL and more. I know he did in fact know Gino from his time at least in the MISL. This was initially sent out by Brendan to the MASL, in an effort for them to push for this induction.
