He got in a game and a pk goal at RBA last summer as the Potugese team dropped their game to a Ronaldo less Jueve side in pks. He is on a one year loan now as they hope for the 21 year old American to play either at the center of the midfield or in a more forward position.  The Plano player stated, "It's the best decision for me right now. It's first division soccer, it's good competition. I'm excited to be able to live in the biggest city in the world and play with a very well known  club." He first ventured out to Portugal and Varzim Sc in 2015, upon turning 18 it was off to Benfica where he would see most of his action, over 40 games for the B team in LigaPro D2, where he netted 7 goals contributing 7 assists. He did well with the 2nd team and was called up Nov. '17 facing Victoria for his first of 6 first team games. NYCFC Sporting Director Claudio Reyna had this to say," Keaton is a young and talented player who we are very pleased to add to our squad." May of 2016 saw Keaton get his first game with the USMNT, the last half hour in Philly v Bolivia. NYCFC HC Torrent contributed, " Keaton is a young American player that can play at a few different spots in the midfield."
