Baxter Back in Blue, through '22?

Nicole Baxter on the strength of a pair of short term deals is to be with local NWSL team, Sky Blue for the coming season with a one year option.

She stated "I am really excited to be returning t Sky Blue for 2021, It has been a really good opportuinty for me. I was able to grow a lot because of that experience. I am just really excited."

From NJ, her NWSL debut was in the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup facing the Royals. The last game of the Fall Series had he as a starter, a big 3-1 win over the Red Stars. On the season, she had an 80% rate  of completed passes.

Freya Coombe, HC at Sky Blue informed "Nicole has used the opportunity of the unconventional 2020 season to demonstrate some of the key qualities of a professional in the league. Real determination to succeed, great quality on the ball and the ability to create in the final third. I look forward to the 2021 season with her."

GM Alyse LaHue added "It has been fantastic to watch Nicole's journey to earning a full contract at Sky Blue. She is the epitome of persistent hard work and brings so much to the Club both on and off the pitch."

The 2021 season is set to kick off Feb. 1 with another Challenge Cup in mid-April and a season with 2 dozen games in mid-May.
