She played a massive role as Stanford rolled to the 2019 NCAA title, she was of course the PAC-10 Defensive Player of the Year. During the 2020 Concacaf U-20 Championships, she lead the stout defense of the Red, White & Blue with half a dozen games of utter domination, taking the title in a 4-1 drubbing of Mexico in the final.

Forward Ifeoma Onumonu agreed to a one year deal to compete with once more with her club in the NWSL, the top women's league on the globe.

IIfeoma informed "I am very excited t sign a new contract to stay with Sky Blue. Although we didn't get a true NWSL season in 2020, I felt that the Challenge Cup and Fall Series exposed how much this team in capable of. I like the direction in which this team is headed. I feel tremendous support from my teammates and the coaching staff as well as the success we will have in the future."

KC Comets take Central Cup

The KC Comets, an historic Indoor Soccer team now playing Arena Soccer, same game just a re-brand won this title as they bested the equally historic Wichita Wings, in Wichita. Adam James achieved Golden Boot stats with his 6 goals on his heels was the Comet player Kevin Ellis with 5. The Comets beat each team, running the table at 3-0 and an impressive 16 goal differential.

Freeman Re-Ups with Sky Blue

A pair of days, a pair of singings as the local NWSL team readies for the 2021 season. Freeman, a defender is on a one year deal with a one year option.

With Sun Youth's Holiday campaign, they are reaching thousands of families in need, it was made known today. Dec. 19, will see them donate 1,000 backpacks containing 1,000 masks made out of recycled Impact kits in October. A group of 5 skilled tailors made them, proudly in Montreal.

Mihailovic Moved, it will Impact the Windy City

This 2nd generation pro, Djordje Mihailovic has gone from Chicago to Montreal just like that along with $1,000,000 heading south. He is signed to a deal for a trio of years with a one year option.

The first vaccine in the state was given to a worker from a hospital in the borough.

Expansion Draft: This is all about Austin FC, we were joined by their Head Coach late last week as we had a Zoom interview with Dwayne De Rosario, and Josh Wolff was good enough to join us in celebrating this milestone achievement for his teammate. The draft will be carried by the Facebook of Soccer Long Island Magazine from 6 p.m. ET tomorrow. Austin is able to chose from 160 players, a maximum of 5, fully 10 teams are unable to have a player picked as they had one so chosen with two teams entering in 2020 and made their selections.

NYCFC Travel Plans for CCL

Covid has yet again reared it's ugly head. This virus which has fouled things up for the better part of the year has once again impacted soccer in the USA, NYCFC has had 3 players test as having the virus, causing them to travel on game day, not yesterday as expected. They need a big win facing Tigres to stay in the games kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m. ET on FS2 & TUDN. After one positive test, all players and staff then took the RPOC testing yielding another pair of positives, NYCFC & Concacaf came to the agreement to travel game day.
